Claudio Gobbi
Claudio Gobbi (Ancona, 1971) studied photography at the Bauer Institute in Milan, specializing under the guidance of Gabriele Basilico. His projects - characterized by a continuous work in progress - address issues relating to cultural identity and borders, transnationality, the East-West encounter, as well as the relationship between art, architecture and cultural anthropology, addressed starting from their own context. of belonging: Europe. Awards: 2003 winner of the Prix Mosaïque of the Center National de l'Audiovisuel, Luxembourg; 2007 “artist in residence” at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris; 2009 invited to the Second Biennial of Contemporary Art of Thessaloniki; 2010 project commissioned by "MAXXI, building site". Recent exhibitions include: participation in the Goethe-Institut project “The Fine Hands Show” for the Krasnoyarks Biennial in Russia and the commissioning “Universo Olivetti. Community as Concrete Utopia ”of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Among the various publications we remember the monograph Arménie Ville published in 2016 by Hatje Cantz.
