Elisa Cella

Elisa Cella was born in Genoa in 1974, lives and works in Monza (MB). She graduated from scientific high school and attended mathematics at the State University of Milan. You started drawing in ink on paper when you were at university and later to paint. More recently you have started working on installations and sculptures, in metal and Plexiglas.
Her work is formally characterized by the construction of images starting from the repetition of circles of various sizes: when they are painted, they are circles made by hand, in which control and imperfection are both fundamental data. The images she represents are usually of biological inspiration and refer to philosophical and gnoseological considerations. The mystery and the amazement for beauty, fused with the search for knowledge, are the engine of her work.
