Federica Limongelli fits the central part of her work into the theme of art in the social; the artist reinterprets, in particular, the new form of discomfort of the female condition where, in the pulverization of human and social relationships, the woman ends up being, still too often, a victim of social prejudices. The representation of female figures often without mouth or, in any case, never visible in their entirety is, metaphorically, the attestation of the new lack of communication between the sexes in the world of the third millennium. Incommunicability which, this time, is not only physical but, often, also passes through the variegated world of social networks and, more generally, of the network.
