Giorgio Bartocci

Giorgio Bartocci (Iesi, 1984) is a multifaceted artist, active for over twenty years as a writer, muralist and designer. He studies goldsmith art at the art school, he graduates from the I.S.I.A. of Urbino and grew up breathing in the scents of colors and paper in the studio of his father, painter, engraver and graphic designer. At the age of 12 he began to spray paint on the trains and walls of his city, electing writing and the street as a privileged space for a personal artistic experimentation that he continues to feed today. Recognized in the international context of writing, he soon confronts the creation of large surfaces; he knows how to make architecture and painting dialogue and is fascinated by movement, which he represents in his work with mysterious silhouettes, dilated, fluid organic forms that recall primordial elements; his investigation is multifaceted, ranging from collage to painting, from product design to large walls, from installations to sculptures and he is sensitive to the influence that primitive art has had on contemporary artistic avant-gardes. Bartocci investigates the environment, which he includes in his aesthetics as if it were a pattern, integrating shape and color in plays of light that come to life on the supports of his works. His pictorial style has character, is instinctive, expressive, minimalist and abstract.
