Isabella Nurigiani

Isabella Nurigiani was born in Rome where she studied and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. Always sensitive and attentive observer of symbiotic and interpretative codes, over time she develops an interest in the material use of marble and iron as an expression of a feeling that it is pathos, but also conscience and ethical value. She lives and works between Rome and Pietrasanta in Tuscany, where she increasingly refines her expressive techniques in the continuous search for a plasticity that is the relationship between nature and man. This is how works such as "Eros and Thanatos" of 2003 were born; "Suspended time" 2005; "Prehistoric boiled egg" 2012; "Inactive boxes" 2013; "Seeing yourself and not recognizing yourself" 2017; "Prisoners of themselves" 2018; "Speaking transparently" 2019. She has participated since 2002 in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. She was the winner of the first prize in the “sculpture section” and absolute prize in the 2013 “Premio Nocivelli” competition, special mention at the Biennale Benevento, 2014.
