Nicola Pucci

Nicola Pucci (Palermo, 1966) studied advertising illustration at the European Institute of Design (IED) in Rome, and then moved to Vipiteno to design the covers of the famous Pigna notebooks. Back in Rome, he begins to devote himself full time to painting; meets and frequents Bruno Caruso, who encourages him and writes a text for his first exhibition in Palermo in 1994. From 1995 to today, Nicola Pucci has exhibited in Italy, Great Britain, France and the United States, he has gained Larry's attention Gagosian and Carlo Bilotti, by critics such as Vittorio Sgarbi and Gianluca Marziani, today his collectors. He has made important personal exhibitions in museums such as the Palazzo Collicola Visual Arts Museum in Spoleto, the Carlo Bilotti Museum, the Villa Borghese Orangery in Rome and the Palazzina Azzurra in San Benedetto del Tronto. In 2017 the Municipality of Spoleto selected him for the Urban Screens project, in 2019 his house / atelier was selected for the contemporary itinerary of Le Vie dei Tesori curated by Paola Nicita in Palermo. In 2019 the Sicily Foundation in Palermo dedicates its first anthology to him, interrupted by the lockdown. Pucci's canvases are part of important public and private collections in Italy and abroad, and have been chosen as covers by various publishing houses, including Sellerio. He is currently represented by Andipa Gallery - London, Kristin Gary Fine Art - New York and in Italy by RvB Arts - Rome, Arionte Arte Contemporanea - Catania and MLC - Palermo
