From 31 October 2025 OGR Torino, the hub of Fondazione CRT, presents WE FELT A STAR DYING by French artist Laure Prouvost, the collective exhibition ELECTRIC DREAMS. Art & Technology Before the Internet, and DRUMMING FOR LOVE, an installation by Kosovar artist Erzë Dinarama, three exhibitions that intertwine artistic research and technological innovation, reinforcing OGR's mission as a hub for interdisciplinary production and experimentation.
The exhibition Laure Prouvost. WE FELT A STAR DYING, originally curated for LAS by Carly Whitefield and curated for OGR by Samuele Piazza, first presented in February 2025 at Kraftwerk in Berlin, arrives at Binario 1 of the former workshops in a renewed configuration that resonates with the architecture and its history. The installation, the result of a collaboration between the artist, philosopher Tobias Rees, and scientist Hartmut Neven, founder of Google Quantum AI, explores quantum computing through a multisensory experience of images, sounds, and scents.
ELECTRIC DREAMS. Art & Technology Before the Internet, curated by Val Ravaglia and Samuele Piazza, lands at Binario 2. The exhibition spans over forty years of artistic experimentation at the intersection of visual art and technology, in the era before the widespread adoption of the Internet. It showcases the work of artists who explored technological modernity by appropriating tools originally developed in military or corporate contexts, using them to redefine collective imagery and provoke critical thought.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue, which will be presented on Saturday 1 November 2025 at 10am at Libreria Internazionale Luxemburg (via Cesare Battisti 7, Turin). Following an introduction by Marco Zappalorto, Director of Strategies and International Partnerships at OGR Torino, the conversation will feature artist Liliane Lijn, Val Ravaglia, Curator Displays and International Art Tate Modern, and Samuele Piazza, Senior Curator OGR Torino, together with Francesco Manacorda, Director of Castello di Rivoli, offering further insight into the exhibition's themes and Lijn's autobiography Liquid Reflections, published by Hamish Hamilton, Penguin Random House.
Erzë Dinarama. DRUMMING FOR LOVE, an installation commissioned by OGR Torino within the frame of S+T+ARTS4WaterII and curated by Iacopo Prinetti, will be on view from 31 October to 2 November 2025 at Binario 3. Erzë Dinarama, artist-in-residence at OGR Torino as part of the S+T+ARTS4WaterII project funded by the European Union, presents the outcome of her research on the River Po: a data-visualisation installation that interweaves the micro-stories of river communities with environmental data collected in collaboration with local organisations such as Alpstream, Orti Generali, Fondazione Santagata, and VisoaViso. The work embodies the encounter between culture and technology, transforming data into a visual and sonic narrative of the river's fragility and resilience.
With these exhibitions, OGR Torino launches its autumn season by delving into the dynamic intersections between contemporary art and cutting-edge technology. Embracing an international and multidisciplinary approach, it brings together artists, scientists, and institutions to explore the cultural shifts defining the present and shaping the future.
