ITSLIQUID Group is pleased to announce the opening of the 14th edition of ROME INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2025, international exhibition of photography, painting, video art, installation/sculpture and performance art. The exhibition will open to the public on May 02, 2025, at 06:00 PM at Medina Art Gallery in Rome, and will run until May 15, 2025. ROME INTERNATIONAL ART FAIR 2025 analyzes the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary times, through two main sections: MIXING IDENTITIES and FUTURE LANDSCAPES.
MIXING IDENTITIES analyzes the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality; a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression.
FUTURE LANDSCAPES are abstract, infinite and conceptual, associated with a sense of freedom and infinite extension. Primarily experienced with the mind, spaces redefine their limits and borders, transforming surfaces in an open flow of pure ideas. This section focuses on the concept of the borders and the structures between body, mind and soul, the human identity and the city, the space and the ground.
The Rome International Art Fair 2025 is more than just a visual experience: it is a dialogue between art and life, inviting reflection on the role of identity and space in shaping the human condition. The 14th edition showcases works from international artists, each offering a unique perspective. Among them is Victoria Alina Grădinar, whose work explores the MIXING IDENTITIES section through the emotional and symbolic potential of color, form, and composition. With over twenty-four years of experience, she combines traditional painting and drawing techniques with a keen sensitivity to texture and chromatic harmony, giving life to pieces which aim to provoke dialogue and introspection, revealing the beauty of the surrounding world while fostering a silent exchange of thought and feeling. Another compelling example of this theme is Kono Mae's work, a Japanese sculptor whose practice bridges identity and abstraction. Her sculptures mix delicate origami techniques with organic forms with each crane representing a stage of life, a fragment of collective human experience, and a call for peace in a fractured world. Marco Duranti's work finds a natural resonance within the themes of the exhibition: his project "Il gioco in una stanza" explores the transformation of artistic authorship through
the shared creative act between humans and animals, challenging the traditional perception of the artist's role and expanding the notion of identity beyond the human subject. Through an intimate dialogue of gestures, instincts, and shared play, Duranti reveals hidden dimensions of our identity - those shaped through affection, trust, and non-verbal communication. The artworks become the visible traces of emotional landscapes co-created by species that inhabit the same domestic and emotional spaces. Straddling the intersection of both themes, Letizia Lorenzoni's abstract paintings, driven by emotional energy and instinct, delve into the inner chaos and transformation of the self.... read the rest of the article»
Rejecting logic and perfectionism, she embraces spontaneity and raw emotion, layering shapes and colors to deconstruct thought and express inner turmoil. Her work reflects a profound connection between the vastness of the universe and the fleeting nature of human emotion. Each canvas becomes a meditative act, a cathartic journey into the unconscious, where creation serves as a tool for self-discovery and personal growth. Meanwhile, Lavinia de Rothschild & #Posthuman's work embodies transformation, fluidity, and the evolving boundaries between self, technology, and environment. Through layered visual compositions and altered forms, the artist challenges the limits of identity and space, merging the organic with the synthetic, inviting reflection on routine, embodiment, and the continuous transformation in a world that is increasingly interconnected and fragmented.
Christopher Fowler challenges the boundaries between mind, body, soul, and space through his self-taught photographic practice, which is grounded in authenticity and emotional resonance. Capturing the world with a keen eye for form, texture, and light, Fowler's work avoids digital manipulation, focusing instead on natural compositions, honest framing, and pure observation. Inspired by artists like Georgia O'Keeffe and Edward Steichen, his goal is to reveal the radiance within physical reality - uncovering the emotional truths hidden in landscapes, objects, and fleeting moments. Similarly, Terry Flaxton's "Pas de Deux" offers a compelling exploration of the poetic intersection between form, consciousness, and harmony through moving images. Using large-scale video installation, Flaxton captures the evolution of elemental forces into a unified choreography of being. His work aims to make the metaphysical visible, inviting viewers into a contemplative space where individual parts dissolve into collective resonance.
