Oltrearte Cultural Association is pleased to invite you to the exhibition dedicated to the artist Tetsuro Shimizu (Tokyo 1958). Inauguration Saturday 3 July at 5.00 pm in the presence of the artist at Palazzo Sarcinelli, Conegliano (TV).
On display there are about 30 works, some of large dimensions, which retrace the last 12 years of his artistic career, of great engaging strength and emotional impact, in the constant search for harmony and at the same time the tension triggered by the continuous investigation on the matter. , on color and their possible evocations.
Shimizu has always worked on the construction of the painting with the shaping of the canvas with frames built by himself, in which the painting enters deep cracks in the frame itself, thus emerging from the usual perimeter of the painting, confronting itself with another space, triggering a tension between " body ”represented by the frame and“ spirit ”represented by the color.
The constants of the exhibition are strength and meditation on painting, always current in the languages of visual art.

Tetsuro Shimizu graduated in 1985 from the Sokei Academy of Fine Arts in Tokyo.
In 1987 he moved to Italy, to Milan and in 1992 he graduated in Painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts; he studies with Gottardo Ortelli, Paolo Minoli, Italo Bressan and Giovanni Accame, concluding his academic career with a thesis on Paolo Patelli.
He began his exhibition activity in Italy in collaboration with Enzo Spadon and Catia Spadon of the Morone Gallery in Milan, has exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions and galleries including: the Morone Gallery in Milan (MI), Cavenaghi Arte in Milan (MI) , Galleria Gagliardi in San Gimignano (SI), Galleria il Milione in Milan (MI), Galleria Antonio Battaglia in Milan (MI), Galleria Nobili in Milan (MI), Di Paolo Arte in Bologna (BO) and Castel Negrino Arte by Aicurzio (MB) in Italy, and in Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia and Japan.
Claudio Cerritelli, Flaminio Gualdoni, Alberto Fiz, Alberto Veca, Valerio Dehò, Raffaella Pulejo, Claudio Rizzi, Emidio De Albentiis, Gabriele Simongini, Matteo Galbiati, Caterina Corni, Riccardo Zelatore, Maria Pace have been interested in his work and have written about it. Ottieri, Ettore Ceriani, Veronica Zanardi, Giuseppe Bonini.
His works are in public collections including Castello di Masnago (VA), Province of Chieti (CH), Palazzo Forti (VR), Butti Museum in Viggiù (VA), Pinacoteca Villa Soranzo di Varallo Pombia (NO), Palazzo Comunale di Fortunago (PV), The New Tricolor Museum of Reggio Emilia (RE), Town Hall of Villa Lagarina (TN), Town Hall of Sesto Calende (VA), MACLula Museum of Contemporary Art (NU).
He currently teaches painting techniques at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and is Special Invited Professor at Joshibi University of Art and Design in Tokyo.
