Dep Art Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibition "Valerio Adami. Rethinking Reality," curated by Lorenzo Madaro, featuring a significant selection of works created between the 1970s and the 2000s.
Through a succession of travel scenes, references to stories, and theatrical settings, the artist continually revisits his own life experiences, drawing inspiration from personal memories and encounters. In some paintings, Adami depicts himself (or a character) in the act of painting or typing, emphasizing the reflective process that permeates his entire oeuvre. A prime example of this approach is the monumental "Mnemosine machine à écrire et violon," whose title and subject perfectly embody the exhibition's central theme of reinterpreting reality through memory.
