Boccanera Gallery is pleased to present 白日焰火 – In Daylight, Fireworks Bloom, the first solo exhibition by Yirui Fang at the gallery's Milan venue. The project brings together thirteen of the fifteen works created by the artist during his residency in Trento, hosted by Boccanera Gallery.
Yirui Fang's painterly research emerges from the encounter between two traditions: the Western and the Eastern, particularly the Chinese one. His works represent a point of dialogue and resonance in which myth, artistic gesture, and abstraction converge. By exploring twilight as a symbolic and poetic threshold, Fang invites us to inhabit the limit—a latent transitional state between instinct, calm, and contemplation.
«It is like a beautiful fantasy: every star in the sky represents a person, a life. Everyone has the right to illuminate their own path like fireworks—warm and radiant», the artist says.
