M9
M9 belongs to a new generation of museums. For the first time a museum tells the twentieth century in a compelling way. Advanced technologies and immersive installations are at the service of narration to make the past known, understand the present and imagine the future.
The multimedia contents of the museum, selected by over forty experts of national importance, bring an often unknown heritage to the general public. Through a network of almost 150 Italian and international archives and libraries, M9 enhances the cultural heritage of the twentieth century: photographs, newspapers, magazines, posters and advertising materials, radio recordings, films and documentaries, amateur filming, television programs. On display, the installations contain over 6,000 photos, 820 videos, 500 printed materials, 400 audio files, 10 hours of digital films.
