Third edition of the Festival of ideas from 30 September to 23 October 2021 on the theme Who we are, who we will be, with an emphasis on the concept of sustainability in line with the strategic guidelines of the Veneto Region.
New guests announced, Alessandro Haber at the Sale Apollinee of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice (October 19); the musician Giovanni Caccamo (October 1), the action painter and former boxer Omar Hassan and the writer Costanza DiQuattro (both October 17) in M9; the poet Andrew Faber at the Toniolo Theater (October 16).
Alice doubles up at the Malibran Theater, where she will bring her homage in music to Franco Battiato on 22 and 23 October.
Also doubled the meetings with Igor Sibaldi and Mario Tozzi in M9 and with Umberto Galimberti at the Toniolo Theater.

After more than 3 thousand admissions in 2020, the Festival confirms its vocation for confrontation and dialogue, multiplying looks and visions in search of a possible future. This year, even more in the now mandatory sign of innovation and sustainability, with the word as a form of disclosure par excellence, in all its forms.
A Festival immersed in a present that never as today needs to reflect and plan a future. This is why he assumes a quote from Victor Hugo - "Tomorrow irresistibly accomplishes his work, and begins it today, always reaching its goal, in the strangest ways" - and the theme is Who we are, who we will be.
Centrality, therefore, of Ideas for a world forced to reinvent itself and to assume change as a perspective to be built in coherence with an interconnected vision of life, the environment and all the realities that are part of it. In line with the strategic guidelines of the Veneto Region set out in the “Sustainable Veneto” dossier.
Ideas are our strength, the construction site and the engine of what we will be.
Today a new and decisive direction is opening in which to review coordinates and maps and build a project and a vision. The Festival brings its contribution, in the awareness of how much in this epochal transition places are needed in which to create a plural and broad dimension of discourse, which breaks down elite fences and closures and enhances the depth of listening.
Discuss and involve in the conviction that a great part of the challenge of change is played on the front of a communication that knows how to open up to everyone in rigor.
For this reason, it puts the word at the center, with the ambition to bring it back as a vehicle of communication, as an instrument of exchange and open exploration of the multiplicity of the meaning of things. The words of women and men who recognize themselves in the ideal of sharing and challenging the future that guides the Festival of Ideas.
