On the occasion of the International Music Day - the International Music Day, on Friday 1 October at 11 am the Stauffer Center for Strings will be inaugurated in Cremona in the presence of the Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini: the first international music center for higher education, research, composition, production, management and innovation, entirely dedicated to string instruments. A unique artistic project in the world dedicated to fostering, supporting and accompanying the artistic and professional growth of young talents and new generations of musicians.
The Minister will be welcomed by the President of the Walter Stauffer Foundation, Alessandro Tantardini, and the General Director of the Stauffer Center for Strings, Paolo Petrocelli, who will speak during the day together with numerous Italian and foreign guests, institutional representatives, local authorities - including the Mayor of Cremona, Gianluca Galimberti, and the President of the Province, Paolo Mirko Signoroni -, artists of great renown, personalities from the world of culture and entertainment and representatives of the national and international press.
The program opens with a preview visit to the rooms of Palazzo Stauffer, the historic iconic building that is the new headquarters of the Stauffer Center which, after major recovery and restoration work by architects Lamberto Rossi Associati, is returned to the city in its original beauty and further embellished, in its spaces of over 2,000 square meters on three levels, by an exclusive interior design project by Pininfarina Architecture, an icon of Italian style in the world. The Palace, and its splendid romantic garden, will open its doors to the public for the first time on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 October on the occasion of the FAI Autumn Days.
