La Galleria Gió Marconi è lieta di annunciare Keep thinking nobody does it like you here comes the sunset, la prima mostra personale in Italia dell'artista americano Jonathan Lyndon Chase e la sua prima esposizione con la galleria.
La mostra esplora i momenti quotidiani della vita queer nera in città. Riflette sulla memoria e sulla mente, sul corpo e sull'anima, sul passare del tempo, sugli opposti e sull'equilibrio, sulla leggibilità e sull'astrazione.
Chase suddivide il piano terra della galleria in spazi interni privati, tra cui un soggiorno, una camera da letto, una cucina e un bagno. Sono questi i luoghi in cui la figura si muove e interagisce, rivelando stati emotivi, mentali e psicologici. Ogni ambiente diventa un paesaggio a sé. Gli interni agiscono come un archivio e un riflesso di questi elementi. Lo spazio stesso sembra vivo, come un corpo, con crepe, fili scoperti, tubi che gocciolano, soffitti che perdono e un tappeto che conserva molte storie.
