Adriana Luperto

Adriana Luperto, born in Salento, has always lived by intertwining different work activities with a passion for art and painting. At 21 she moved to Milan. In 1989, during a trip to China, she stops for a month in Shanghai and takes lessons from a local master, with whom she studies and explores the traditional technique of watercolor on rice paper. In the early nineties she worked continuously on sets, murals and installations in Lugano, in collaboration with a Swiss set designer / actress and a Puerto Rican graphic designer. Since 2000 she has exhibited in several solo shows in Milan, looking for her works for her works that are extraneous to the exhibition circuits: residential courtyards, bars, night clubs.

In 2005 she collaborated with the singer-songwriter Pia Tuccitto illustrating the booklet of her cd, Un segret che. Also in 2005 she exhibited in Bologna in the Video Freccia event, and subsequently, in November of the same year at MaKìa. In 2007 she participates in the 13 × 17 Italian Pavilion at the 13 × 17 Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, an initiative curated by Philippe Daverio and Jean Blanchaert (AA.VV., 13 × 17, 1000 artists for an eccentric investigation of art in Italy, catalog Rizzoli). In 2009 she exhibited first in Milan in the exhibition entitled di là, together with Antonella De Simone, at the local historian Cicip Ciciap and then in Lecce, at the Cortenumero9 gallery. Between 2014 and 2016 she worked on a cycle of large-format acrylics, entitled La solitudine dell'amore, of which the publishing house VandAepublisher published the catalog in 2017 (preface by Rory Cappelli of La Repubblica).

Since 2016 she has lived between Lecce and Florence and after having worked in various fields - from the world of audio and lighting for entertainment, to that of design and the world of catering - she decides to devote herself completely to art. Among her latest personal exhibitions: Milan in my eyes, Libreria Bocca, Milan (6 December 2017 - 8 January 2018), VandAepublisher catalog edited by Vera Agosti (2017); I prefer the sound of the sea, Tethys Gallery, Florence (April 2018); from Milan to the sea, Osteria Ronchetto, Lugano (June 2018); Outside, qèc - via Sercambi, Florence (November 2018); Between earth and sky, Crumb Gallery, Florence (June 2019).
