Fernanda Fedi

Fernanda Fedi lives and works in Milan. She studies art in Milan and Bologna (DAMS degree). She specialized courses in Museology and Museography at the Faculty of Architecture in Milan and in Art Therapy at the Civic Pedagogical and Social School of the Municipality of Milan. Her artistic career and her insights into the field of artistic groups of the 70s, the woman-artist and art therapy are the subject of study for university research. You wrote the essay "Collectives and artistic groups in Milan", "Ideologies and paths 1968-1985" Ed. Endas and organized conferences and debates on "Woman Art" and "Creativity and Therapy". You have exhibited since 1968 with international appearances in Biennials and Quadrennials, maturing a vast bibliography.
His artistic research, which started in the 1970s from the Structural Period 1970-78 and crossed by further research on the Idea of absence 1979-82, has now for many decades landed on an in-depth study of writing-sign combined with music, poetry, Archaic Minoan, Mycenaean, Etruscan, Egyptian writing… and above all to all those not yet decoded writings, a subject of great fascination for the artist: the unknowable, the uninterpretable.
She enhances and highlights the "fragment", the "broken sign", elevating them as essential components of the "whole" be they aniconic, musical or poetic.
