Mariuccia Barbon

From Spresiano (TV), born in '51, Mariuccia Barbon stands out in the world of art and sport. The link between the two worlds is water. Several times world champion in finswimming (the latest recognition dates back to 2019), Mariuccia recognizes the water and, in particular, her beloved river Piave, that primal force capable of generating creativity and joy.
However, part of her creative talent is cultivated in the family. Her father, a knight of labor and master in the art of wood, together with her mother, a refined embroiderer, invite her to follow her passion.

Her first paintings, a tribute to Giotto, are made of jute framed by her grandfather, on a fine mortar background. With her husband, however, she runs an artistic ceramics workshop where she creates works in raku and glass fusion. However, in recent years, Mariuccia has devoted herself exclusively to painting, moving from figurative to abstract art. Poetry, sensations and emotions blend in the nuances of the Piave water, the bright colors of the seabed embrace the mysterious ones of the constellations, generating paintings of generous dimensions.

This is how the observer, captured by the whirlwind of colors and glazes, can feel at one with the work itself.
