Roberto Piloni

Roberto Piloni was born in Rome where he lives and works. Since the nineties he has taken part in various exhibitions and artistic events both in public spaces and in private galleries. From that period begins to emerge, more and more evident in his work, a progressive reduction of the compositional elements and a constructive procedure that occurs not only by subtraction but above all by fixing sensitive points on the surfaces, often through object-type inclusions and use of heterogeneous and dissonant materials.
In the following years he conducted his research towards a design that considers the relationship between the environmental context and the installed work more and more important using different media, from painting to photography, from installations to video.
Recent exhibitions include Aggetto continuo (Block 13 - Rome 2022), Focus Peaking (Sino-Italian Design Center - in collaboration with the Municipality of Florence, the Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design and the Shanghai International Culture Association) 2021, Dialogue in Yinchuan: China-Italy (Yinchuan, China 2018) Ficcanaso (D'ARC, Rome), Afasia (Interno14, Rome) and Fresh Windows (Galleria Gallerati, Rome) in 2017, participation in the XLVII Premio Vasto 2014, L'icona hybrid.
