Today died: Gabriele Basilico, the photographer of the contemporary urban landscape
Gabriele Basilico (Milan, August 12, 1944 – February 13, 2013) was one of the greatest Italian photographers and is considered one of the masters of contemporary Italian and European photography.
In his research, he paid great attention to themes such as the transformations of urbanized territories in the transition from the industrial era to the post-industrial one, and the centrality of the city seen as a complex product of economy and history.
