Marco Cavalieri. Ibrida – Hybrid

The activities of the Spazio COMEL Arte Contemporanea in Latina resume with the new year with Ibrida – Hybrid, the personal exhibition of the Roman artist Marco Cavalieri. Inauguration Saturday 14 January at 18.00.

On display in the gallery in via Neghelli are fourteen sculptures made with various recycled materials: from stainless steel to aluminium, from plastic to iron.
Marco Cavalieri, through painting and sculpture, expresses a strong communicative need: an exchange with the observer who in his works can see, not without wonder, fantastic worlds poised between the dreamlike and the futuristic, in which the human figure and animal are the protagonists.
In particular Ibrida – Hybrid proposes the vision of a possible future in which living beings and machines merge to create new forms of life, to which new possibilities and abilities open up. A warning not to demonize technology in itself but to pay attention to the use that Man makes of it, or could make of it.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Saturday 14 January at 18.00 in the presence of the artist and curator Francesca Nesteri (artist, performer and teacher), and will be open to the public every day from 17.00 to 20.00 until 29 January.

Biographical notes: Marco Cavalieri was born in Rome in 1970, where he currently lives and works. He graduated from art school, to then specialize as an illustrator and advertising graphic designer, he also studied architectural design and history of art and architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the "La Sapienza" University of Rome. He has exhibited in prestigious Roman venues, and in various Italian cities (Milan, Florence, Palermo, Catania, Forlì, Naples). He has participated in various international competitions achieving excellent results, he was a finalist in the 2018 edition of the COMEL Award, Armonie in Alluminio, with the work My Time which earned him the special mention of the jury.
