The MAGA collections, consisting of more than 5,000 works including paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, ceramics, artist's books, multimedia works, photographs, design objects and graphic works, offer visitors a rich and articulated panorama of orientations that have animated the national art scene from the mid-twentieth century to the present day.

Numerous are the works donated by the Gallarate Prize and by the artists, others granted in temporary storage by private collectors. MAGA promotes the production and acquisition of works by young artists created specifically for the Museum on the occasion of exhibitions dedicated to them.

The published works are a selection of the entire heritage of the museum in order to illustrate the most significant chapters in the history of Italian art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. These works are divided into two sections, the works belonging to the MAGA Collection and the Deposits and Loans for use granted on a temporary basis for the museum collection.

Teaching for schools is active from 9.30 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 16.00
Each project can include one or more meetings at the discretion of the teachers.
It is possible to arrange meetings and workshops at school with methods and themes to be agreed.
Groups are intended for a maximum of 20 participants.
