His kinetic mirrors do not merely reflect reality, but, thanks to their own movements, distort and incorporate it, simulating the action of a black hole.
The title of the series, an example of which is shown here, is influenced by contemporary physics and is deciphered like a code: "XYZ" stands for "space", "T" for "time".

The works are in fact intended to establish a dialogue between the various phases of time, the past, the present and the future, and their continuous changes.
An important role is played by light: a mesmerising beam of light is aimed at the mirror, which does not simply absorb it but refracts it towards the viewer.

Edoardo Dionea Cicconi (Rome, 1985) is an Italian contemporary artist working with installations, sculpture and sound. Dealing with universal themes often in an interactive way, he tries to find a synthesis between art and science, investigating the concept and perception of time. His works freeze a subjective dimension in time and become the vehicle for a profound and universal message.

His kinetic mirrors explore these concepts. Although they look like simple metal mirrors, these installations interact with their surroundings, sometimes reflecting space and other times deforming it. Like a black hole, the mirrors create a sense of density, distorting the viewer's figure until it is no longer visible, merging it with the surrounding space and the installations themselves. In this way, the viewer and his or her surroundings become an active participant in the artwork, central to its conceptualization.

Active since 1980, Cadogan Gallery has always distinguished itself through its careful support of the work of emerging, mid-career, established or critically acclaimed artists, and also by an unwavering commitment towards cultivating relationships with generations of collectors and artists for over 40 years. Alongside its first gallery in South Kensington, London, and a temporary space for special projects in Hampshire, Cadogan has now added an international perspective to its exhibition programme by opening its first foreign venue in Milan. Since the spring of 2023, in a bright space in the Milanese fashion, with an approach focused on highlighting individual artists and a clear aesthetic identity, the new space is a perfect place to exhibit not only works by artists who have grown with the gallery, but also an emerging new generation.
