Munari, art for the future

In a selection of about fifty works from Italian and foreign private collections, the exhibition at the MUST in Vimercate (MB) highlights the extraordinary importance of Bruno Munari in the international art scene and his role as a great forerunner of trends and research.
From futurism to useless machines, from concrete abstraction to painting with light, there is no shortage of famous examples of Munari's interaction with the world of communication such as the large red poster for Campari.
The exhibition itinerary proceeds by sections, with insights into the artist's main reasons for reflection: from dynamism to the study of perception, from the transformation of the idea of painting to the use of technology, from the concept of "concrete art" to the experimentation of new materials.

The exhibition is accompanied by numerous collateral events including talks and readings at the Civic Library and special workshops for schools and children, organized in collaboration with the Bruno Munari Association.

The exhibition, curated by Simona Bartolena, makes use of the collaboration of Armando Fettolini and the scientific contribution of Luca Zaffarano. Technical support is provided by ViDi cultural.

The exhibition is included in the permanent itinerary of the museum, characterized by an interactive and integrated installation in the historic residence that houses it, the Villa Sottocasa. Entrance to the exhibition allows you to visit the entire museum itinerary.
